The hotel & their staff was great! The pool & view from it was also fantastic! The restaurant on the rooftop was quite expensive though… breakfast for 2 was ~$50 and it was a small order.
The Hyatt Centric is excellently located; only steps away from the Quinta Avenida. Our room had a large balcony and was very quiet because it didn't overlook 5 Av. The staff was very friendly and took great care of the guests. There was a rooftop with a good restaurant, a pool, and a fantastic view of city and sea. It was a short walk to the Hyatt Centric Beach house; which (as the name says) is on the beach. Both hotels operate as a single unit; which means that we were able to use the facilities of the Beach House. We showered and used their towels after swimming in the sea. Also dined at the beachfront restaurant and charged it to our room at the Downtown House. The sandy beach is perfect for swimming.
My husband and I stayed in the downtown house and had an amazing stay. The staff were so incredibly friendly. Loved the spin class we did on the roof top one morning. Visiting the beach house location for a change of scenery was also a nice perk. Location was perfect!
Hyatt centric Best Hotel in Playa Del Carmen This hotel is right on the beach, on 8 st.2 seconds from Quinta Avenida where all the action is! It's a laxury hotel, with amazing sea view suites and very good service and private attractions to details. I staying in this hotel 50 nights this year as it is my home in Mexico lI! I really feel like a princess here! Alfie is the manager and treats me the best! I have no words at express my gratitude I really hope to see him here in the few years and even be upgraded cause he deserves it! Especial thanks to Geovany who took care of my suite in the best way possible! Room was clean perfectly, I got all the bottle water I needed and always treated kindly • super happy to see Geovany year after year! Makes me feel at home. In Reception Mayly, Michell & Ana are cute and kind and of course the bellman Pablo is the best who is here for many years! I also like a lot Angel Brito in breakfast . He his a heart always make me the best piñadas (virgin piña colada) and gives the best service, along side Daniel, Yaz & Karen! A special thanks to Serralta who takes care of me in the other hotel Hyatt Centric Down Town, he makes sure I get the best breakfast, fresh orange juice and most important a reserved queen bed (bigger than a kinds bed ) at the rooftop pool! I really appreciate him! Very professional! I appreciate everyone's work in this lovely hotel, and happy to return again next month!
I stayed here for a week with my family, and was overall happy with our stay. The service in general (front desk, restaurant, etc) is slow but the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished. The central location makes it very walkable to anywhere you’d want to go, but it’s worth mentioning that it is surrounded by many loud restaurants and nightclubs. I could sleep through the noise, but I think it would be bothersome to some people. They provide ear plugs though, which is considerate. All that being said, the restaurants and nightclubs right outside are all worth visiting! The location really is a huge plus.
Our experience at Hyatt Centric Beach House was excellent from start to finish. The property is well-maintained, comfortable, and perfectly located. Soraya provided exceptional service — she was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. Her attention to detail and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff at the beach house were also phenomenal! Would definitely stay here again when in Playa del Carmen!
Excellent hotel in a major location. Highly recommend. Large rooms, small gym, rooftop pool and a beach house 5 minutes walk. The only disadvantage can be some noise from the mall downstairs, and you get earplugs in the room.
If you want to be around the party, shopping and good food it perfectly matches and has a rooftop pool to die for amazing 2 blocks from the beach perfect location
